Card of the Day - July 29, 2011

Transformation
Osho Zen Tarot

In this deck, the Number 13 card is Transformation which could be the equivalent of the Death card. The card shows a figure sitting on a vast flower holding the symbols of transformation - the snake that sheds its skin, the yin/yang symbol of duality and the broken chain of limitations. One of its hands are open and receptive. The other hand is reaching down to touch a sleeping face, symbolizing the silence that comes when we are at rest. This is a time for a deep let-go. Be like Gautama Buddha who after much searching realized that there is nothing more he could do. That very night, he became enlightened. Transformation is like  death, it comes in its own time. And, like death it takes you from one dimension to the other.
