Crystal of the Week - Shattuckite

Shattuckite is a highly spiritual stone that heightens vibration. It stimulates the third eye and throat chakra. It is useful to remember past-life experiences and to communicate. Sometimes, past lives create fear and reduce a person's abilities in this life-- this stone removes those blocks and clears curses and commands. It is useful during channeling as it is strongly protective ensuring that the entity doesn't take over the physical body. It is of a pure source and can be used to develop psychic abilities like automatic writing, telepathy and communication with extraterrestrials. It is also useful in health issues, for cleansing blood and clearing blockages within cells of the body. It is a very powerful healing stone because of the high concentration of copper it contains. It can be used to treat diabetes and calcium absorption problems.

Deck of the Week - Angels of Atlantis Cards

These cards are absolutely beautiful to look at. I recently received this deck from a friend, and I must say that I was amazed by the energy and the accuracy of the deck. I own many different Angel and Oracle decks but this one if very special and unique. This deck consists of 44 cards and they are each dedicated to an angel. Each card has a beautiful portrayal of the Universe and you feel like each card is a representation of an 'out of space' experience. There are stars, planets, skies and heavens in the cards, and they can take you to a meditative state by just looking at them. The cards are very colourful and each angel has a distinct colour Eg: Michael is purple, Gabriel is blue, Raphael is green, etc.

My Favorite Cards:

1. Raziel : Dreams

2. Raphael : Earth Force

3.  Hanael : Hope

Crystal of the Week - Sodalite

Today I will be discussing a beautiful crystal called Sodalite. This crystal resonates with the third eye chakra and is dark blue in colour with white spots. It is mostly found in tumbled stone form. This crystal unites intuition with logic and brings information to the higher mind down to the physical level. It deepens meditation by stimulating the third eye and pineal gland. It can be used to understand the circumstances in which you are currently, making you stand by your beliefs and ideals. It can be placed on computers to block the harmful rays. It brings people together in harmony, and stimulates trust and is great for team work. It removes mental confusion. It brings about emotional balance and calms panic attacks. It makes you who you really are and removes issues of self-esteem, phobias, guilt and fears.

Healing:

It can be used to balance metabolism, for calcium deficiencies, and boosting the immune system. It combats radiation damage and insomnia. It treats vocal cords, hoarseness and digestive disorders. One must wear it for long periods of time.

Deck of the Week - Sun and Moon Tarot

This week I will start a new feature on my blog called Deck of the Week where I will discuss different decks that have caught my fancy. Today I came across this wonderful deck called the Sun and Moon Tarot.

I have always been intimidated by the Thoth deck. While I have that deck with my since 2006, I have tried to understand it, but whenever I open the cards, I get a crazy mind-numbing head ache. I don't know what it is! Is it the energy of the cards? Is it it's busy geometric shapes? Or the influence of the Master of the Dark Arts, Aleister Crowley? I haven't been ale to figure that out. So far, I have stuck to the Rider Waite deck and it's numerous clones along with other angel, oracle and fairy themed decks which I connect with. So, I keep my distance from this deck, and anything Thoth related, knowing that some day I'll be able to face that deck. Till then, I need to prepare myself. I thought the first step would be to slowly introduce myself to the concepts of the Thoth through a non-intimidating, playful deck. That's when I met the Sun and Moon Tarot by Vanessa Decort. What I love about this deck is the images and the seemingly cute, almost oracle-like keywords on each card.Though it does have strong words used in the Thoth deck such as 'Debauch', the images are very happy and playful. Another key feature of this deck is that the figures have no faces. They have no eyes, expressions and features, which means that every time you look at the card, you can see something different.

Some of my favorite cards:

The Aeon: Judgement

The card shows an angel giving messages to women in the water, almost mermaids through her musical trumpet.

The Fool

The card shows the Fool going over the abyss, where there is a crocodile waiting for him with his mouth wide open! Now that is a different take on The Fool!

The Moon

The card shows a lonely maiden sitting perched on the moon. How I connect with this card! The world doesn't understand her and she contemplates by herself, the choices she has to make.

All in all I think, one must give this deck a try, specially if they are intimidated by the Thoth deck, as this deck  retains the philosophies of it, but doesn't water down the content and the meaning of that deck.

Crystal of the Week- Azeztulite

This is a very rare and light bearing crystal and is a rare form of quartz. It is a stone for the New Age. It has an extremely positive vibration and has a high frequency. It aids in spiritual evolution. This crystal expands your consciousness. If you are ready, it can lift your awareness and vibrations to a higher level. It never requires cleansing and is always energized. This crystal should be handled with care if you are not used to working with spiritual realms or higher frequencies. The vibrational shifts can be so powerful and can have unpleasant side effects. One should first use crystals like Ametrine and Aquamarine first. Old patterns are dissolved with this crystal and deep emotional cleansing takes place. The opaque form has lesser vibration compared to the transparent crystal form. It facilitates meditation and induces a state of 'no mind'. It stimulates the kundalini to rise up the spine. It opens the third eye, crown and higher crown chakras. It can help you see the future. Its spiritual properties can be compared to that of the Sun, dissolving patterns of negativity, bringing higher levels of spirituality and enlightenment.

It is called 'The Stone of the Nameless Light' and is available only in North Carolina and Vermont in the USA

Healing:
This crystal is so powerful that it can help treat cancer, cellular disorders and inflammation. It restores the will. Most of its healing work is at the spiritual level, it works with the chakras and facilitates a vibrational shift.

Oracle Card of the Day - Problem Solved

Today's Card of the Day from the Healing with the Fairies deck is 'Problem Solved'. Why have you been worrying yourself silly? Today's card is very positive and it says that very very soon, your problem is going to be solved. Have faith in the angels and the fairies as they are watching over you, guiding you, and solving your problems, one at a time. Worrying excessively delays good things from happening to you. Stop worrying and leave your problems to the Universe. Trust that all is going to be okay.

Angel Card of the Day - Raziel:Dreams

Today's Card of the Day from the Angels of Atlantis deck is Raziel-Dreams. The last time this card came up for me, I had the most profound dream, and here it is there again today! I had picked up this same card on Aug 27th, exactly one month ago! How amazing.. Be sure to carefully listen to signs and symbols you receive in your dreams. They could give you the answers to the questions you have been pondering off late. When you are asleep, your subconscious is awake and living a life as vibrant as the one we live in this current world. The realm of dreams, is another dimension, and dreams connect us to the other world for a little while, so we must pay attention to the messages we receive through dreams.

Crystal of the Week - Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is a beautiful stone of unconditional love and peace. It is one of the most important crystals for the heart. You can wear it as a heart shaped pendant placed on the heart chakra for  feeling the truest essence of the stone. It brings about deep feelings of love for yourself and others. It can attract love in your life and improve relationships. You can place it by your bedside to rekindle a romance between husband and wife or to maintain love and harmony. It draws off negative energy and replaces it with loving vibes. It helps you release unexpressed emotions and soothes internal pain and heals depression. If you have never received love, Rose Quartz opens up your heart so that you become receptive. If you have loved and lost, it comforts your grief.

Healing: It strengthens the heart and circulatory system and releases impurities from the body. It increases fertility, and soothes the complexion of your skin. Place it on the heart or thymus or keep it in the relationship corner of the room.

Mabon Blog Hop - Power of Transformation

Welcome to the Mabon Blog Hop chain! You may have reached here from the blog by Rose Red Robinson.  Check it out, if you happen you just see this post. We are a group of 28 bloggers blogging on the topic of the Power of Transformation.

This time's blog hop has as its theme, Transformation. When I first heard this word, a few pictures came to my mind, specially the card No. 13 in the Fairy Tale Tarot named 'Transformation' which is originally the 'Death' card in other decks. In this deck, this card is represented by the story of the Beauty and the Beast. It is a beautiful card, depicting the transformation of the 'beast' into a handsome young man. Transformation in this story takes place, because of the power of love. The Beauty has faith in the Beast and kisses him, breaking the spell. Love can bring about the greatest transformation.

It is this love, which has brought about a big change in my life. Specially this year, is very special as we are bearing the fruits of love and I am expecting a baby! This has transformed me emotionally, mentally and of course physically. I am resembling a football these days! Another important card of transformation in the Tarot which I relate to these days is The Empress. She is the ever nurturing mother, fertile within and outside. I really feel like that these days. I am blessed from within and at the same time, I am also doing well in my Tarot business as well. This baby has been a real blessing for me, it has made me realize that being a mother is an essential part of me. I am now looking forward to the journey of motherhood- along with the diapers,  baby wipes and baby smells. It is a miracle that a precious soul can be created out of love. I feel very blessed and happy to be where I am. I have become more calm, and have let myself go. I feel at peace and my dreams have become very vivid and full of meaning.

The Empress card that I love from all the decks that I have, is the Robin Wood Tarot deck. She is visibly pregnant, and happy. She is content in herself, and is busy spinning a wheel. This is so much like me. Spending time in nature among the greenery, or being at home, probably not spinning but doing some creative activity like baking (my new passion!) I think it has to do with 'nesting' or preparing and providing for my young one. Another part of nesting, is setting up the house and buying baby stuff. The Empress is ruled by Venus, the planet of love. And the card has a big red heart on the bark of the tree, which to me represents the beating of a new heart, a new life, a new beginning.

It is such a coincidence that Louis Underhill is also expecting a baby and she is right after me on this Blog Hop! You can check out her blog here.

Angel Card of the Day - Sept 14, 2012

Today's Card of the Day is 'Morning Affirmations' from the 'Magical Mermaids and Dolphins oracle cards'. Morning Affirmations mean saying positive thoughts at the start of the day, which will make these things happen in your life. You have the ability to make any changes in your life, you just need to affirm. They can open the gates of manifestation. Negative thoughts bring about negative results in your life, they bog you down and make you believe in the wrong things. Being positive can lead to miracles.

Tarot Card of the Day - King of Wands from The Fairy Tale Tarot

Today's Tarot Card of the Day is the King of Wands from the Fairy Tale Tarot depicted by the fairytale of Aladdin. This beautiful deck has been created by Lisa Hunt, who has also created a wonderful new deck called the 'Ghosts and the Spirits Tarot'. Aladdin is a mysterious story of the Arabian Nights where a poor boy, Aladdin finds a magic lamp in which a genie is trapped. The genie can fulfill all your wishes. This is truly a magical card.No matter who you are, there is always a chance for a 'Wheel of Fortune' moment and for your fortunes to turn. The magic lamp is a symbol of hope and dreams and wishes coming true. The genie is the eternal spirit guiding you in your life. This card shows many orb-like lights, showing the presence of other spirits and guides. Do not lose hope, as you always have spirits guiding you on the right path. Your life is filled with magical beings.

Tarot Card of the Day - The Fool from Housewives Tarot

Today's Tarot Card of the Day is from the ''Housewives Tarot'' and is ''The Fool''. The card shows a housewife running about emptying her purse. There are many items like lipstick, compact, wallet, perfume, lotion and creams: typical things a lady keeps in her purse. She seems a bit in a hurry and muddled up. Today could be that sort of a day, where everything seems chaotic and out of order. She represents a newly married housewife adjusting to her daily routine. Even her clothes seem mismatched. The best thing for her to do is ask for advice! Today don't be afraid or let your ego come in the way if you don't know anything. Just ask, and you will receive. At some stages in our life, we refuse to ask for advice, specially when we are stuck and don't know what to do. Keep your ears open for valuable advice you may receive today.

Crystal of the Week - Malachite

I will be assigning a Crystal of the Week every week from today where I will be randomly choosing a crystal and discussing it's physical and healing properties and which chakras it corresponds to. This week's crystal is Malachite.

Malachite tumbled stones

Malachite is a beautiful green coloured stone and is known to be a very good stone for healing. It corresponds to the heart chakra. It is an opaque stone and is made up of bands of different shades of green. This is a toxic stone which means that it shouldn't be used as a gem elixir ie drinking the water in which it is immersed. Gem elixirs are often prepared to heal one from within. But this stone is strictly meant to heal from outside. It is believed that malachite is one of the most important healing stones on the planet. It absorbs negative energies and pollutants easily. It also guards against radiation. It is strongly associated with the natural forces of earth.

Azurite and Malachite Raw Crystal form

It activates the third eye chakra, aiding in visualization and psychic vision. When placed on the heart, it heals, brings balance and harmony and opens the heart to unconditional love. It removes shyness and helps express feelings. It combats psychological problems like dyslexia and psychiatric illnesses. On the solar plexus it helps in deep emotional healing. It releases negative experiences and old traumas, bringing suppressed feelings to the surface and restoring the balance of the body. It is a very intense stone. If it causes heart palpitations, replace it with rose quartz. It is sometimes found in combination with Azurite. Together, they are a beautiful combination and aid people belonging to the Aquarius sunsign. It is also found in combination with  Chrysocolla which is used to balance emotions and bring peace.

Card of the Day - Aug 27, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Angels of Atlantis Oracle Cards is Raziel : Dreams. I have picked this card three times already since I received it yesterday. And not picked up any other card, how crazy is that!? It's definitely an important message about dreams. Dreams are portals which we enter into when we are asleep. We reach worlds that are familiar, yet a part of us. Sometimes we remember those places, events and people and sometimes we forget, but our subconscious never forgets. Pay attention to those dreams tonight. You may receive some special messages. Archangel Raziel is the angel of dreams and intuition. He helps to connect with your inner spirituality and intuition. Maintain a dream journal to jot down your dreams and try decoding them with dream interpretation, analyzing the symbols one by one.

Pentacles : Fruits of Harvest

You are viewing this blog as a part of a chain called the Tarot Blog Hop. You can view the blog before this which is Aisling's blog. Hope you have fun viewing all the unique 35 bloggers that will share their unique perspectives about the Pentacles suit of the Tarot.

I have been attracted to quite a number of decks since I began learning the Tarot in 1999. Some of them have beautiful pictures, some have lovely themes while some others just resonate with me on a spiritual level. So, for this exercise I tried to think up of my favorite Pentacles card. Quite a few came up. I love the Osho Zen Tarot, and it is one of the first decks that I purchased.

In that deck, the Pentacles suit is called Rainbows. There is a beautiful card, the Ace of Rainbows called 'Maturity'. This card is a wonderful reminder that we are constantly changing and maturing, just like a blossoming flower. The figure in the card is at peace, with his eyes closed. He is growing, from within, and only he knows it. Just the way, the trees and flowers grow on their own, and mature, we too mature as we are also a part of Nature. True maturity doesn't happen overnight, it happens slowly and steadily. This card is very meaningful and meditating upon it can help you to realize ways in which you have changed and are bound to change. You have it in you to grow and to keep learning. I find this a very spiritual card and it is very special to me.

On another note, I really love the Fairy Tale Tarot and love the different stories that represent each card. This deck awakens the child within me, and I flashback into my school days where I would read all these fairy tales. These tales are not just childish, but since they are so age old, they have important archetypal symbols which have great meaning. So, the messages received are so profound that you just need to pick up one card for a reading! Today, I asked a question for myself about my growth using this deck and co-inicidently (or synchronically!) I removed a single card belonging to the Pentacles suit which was the ''Three of Pentacles''. This card was represented by the fairy tale of  'The Three Little Pigs.''

The moral of this story is that you need to work hard and by spending more time on a project you can be the best in it and will never fail. Anytime you do something, do your best, and don't put in half-hearted efforts. The earlier pigs made houses of straw and sticks, but they were all blown away by the Big Bad Wolf. The third pig, though he took longer, made a house of cement and bricks and had the last laugh. This is a message for me, as I often feel that people are racing past me, doing things really fast, where as I take my own sweet time and leisurely get things done at my own pace. I need not worry about that as hard work will pay off in the end. There will always be wolves lurking in the background ready to take advantage of you, and bully you, but you must be sure of yourself and get things done on your own brick by brick. The important symbols in this card are:

Bricks : representing the materials of the pig's unmanifested dreams

Path : covered with pebbles. The road to success isn't always easy and obstacle-free

Ladder: use it when the time is right to climb to success

Apples: Temptations and distractions are there to deter you off your task

Wolf: The trickster who will try to play games with your mind.

The Background has debris of the collapsed two houses, so don't forget your past failures while working on your future goals.

Now off to the next blog by Louis Underhill. Let's see what are her favorite Pentacles cards!

Card of the Day- July 27, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Fairy Tale Tarot is the 'Nine of Pentacles' and the card shows us the story of ''The Boy and the Dancing Fairy''. The story is about a kind boy who receives a magic box containing a dancing fairy from an old man. The fairy grants his wishes, first he wishes for a pleasant place to find a companion. He wishes for many things, and gets married to a beautiful princess. When he gets old, he leaves the box in the woods, as the fairy could not grant him youth or free him from death. This magic box signifies possibilities. Magic works when you are kind and compassionate. It is this love that can be passed on to the next generation. Experiences bring you wisdom. This a good time for you as you will soon experience good days ahead, and struggles are over. You can prolong good fortune by being kind and compassionate to those around you.

Card of the Day - July 26, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Healing with the Fairies oracle deck is 'New Opportunity'. There is a new opportunity going to come your way. Be open minded about what comes in your life, as it could be something very unexpected. Do not question it, or wonder if you deserve it. You are worth it and of course you need it, that is why it has come in your life. This opportunity could be an unrealized dream, a wish or something you have thought about casually. Do not let it slip by, and grab it, as you are one of the few lucky ones.

Card of The Day - July 25, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Fairy tale Tarot is the Princess of Wands represented by the story of Tatterhood. You can read the story HERE.  The Princess of Wands is a very strong, outgoing and wild and free girl unlike a regular princess. Just like Tatterhood, you need to stop being vain and delicate and adapt her qualities of honesty and kindness. Clothes, jewelery and other materialistic things are not all the things that make the world go round. Look for beauty in even the ugliest of things. All that glitters is not gold. What you already have , has much higher value in someone else's eyes. Value the things you already have. Be strong and fiesty today, and don't be afraid of being yourself.

July 19, 2012

Card of the Day - July 19, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Healing with the Fairies oracle is 'Make Music'. Music has the ability to heal the soul. People sing to their babies and to plants and animals. Also, music therapy is a very well-known form of healing. Anytime you feel low, listen to your favorite song, switch on the radio in traffic and see how less irritated u feel driving in peak traffic! You can elevate your moods depending on the type of music. To feel mellow, listen to some soft music or classic symphonies, to get in a romantic mood listen to ballads or love songs, to get energized listen to rock music. Every note activates a different emotion and mood. Play with music, as that is what energy is made up of, sound and vibrations.

Card of the Day - July 10, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Fairy Tale Tarot is the Seven of Pentacles represented by the fairy tale of 'The Golden Goose.' The golden goose represents special qualities you possess like magical abilities and talents. You are not ordinary. This card is a reminder that something about you is magical. Just imagine what you want, and you can fulfill your dreams. Don't allow your perceived limitations to stop you.

July 09, 2012

Card of the Day - July 9, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the 'Healing with the Fairies' Oracle cards is 'Problem Solved'. What a relieving card this is! We are always worried about something or the other. At all times, there is always a lingering problem hovering over us. Sometimes we start questioning ourselves and our paths, and sometimes we get sleepless nights about how to deal with a situation. You need not worry as the fairies say that whatever problem you are facing will be solved very soon. Just leave your problems to them and believe in the Universe. The card shows a fairy holding a snake in her hand. It does not seem like a problem to her and has it wrapped around her arms and fingers. Treat your problems in the same way. They can be tackled and managed. They are larger in your mind, than what they really are.

July 07, 2012

Card of the Day - July 7, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Fairy Tale Tarot is the Princess of Pentacles represented by the fairy-tale of 'The Princess and the Pea'. I have always loved this story. Today, you are free to treat yourself like a princess. Splurge, spend, indulge and treat yourself to whatever you desire. It is necessary to recognize earthly delights as an important component to well-being. Do not deny yourself pleasures like a beauty spa treatment, new clothes, new shoes or a pampering pedicure. Though expensive, they are worth the pleasures they bring you. You need to maintain a spiritual and material balance in life.

July 06, 2012

Card of the Day - July 6, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the 'Healing with the Fairies' cards is 'Awakening Your True Self '. In the daily routine of our lives, we sometimes forget who we really are. What is our true self? The true self is the self we were when we were born. Do you remember how you were as a child: innocent and curious? naughty and mischevious? Where is that part of your self gone? We keep on changing every moment, and as we experience new things and become wiser, we lose our innocent self. Today make it a point to be curious, inquisitive and childlike. Remember what you used to love doing and try and recreate some aspects of that in your present life.

July 05, 2012

Card of the Day - July 5, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Fairy Tale Tarot is the 'Two of Wands' depicted by the fairy tale of 'City Mouse, Country Mouse'. This story shows two points of view, the city life and the country life. The country mouse wears an apron, lives in a humble home and is actually very happy and content. The city mouse is full of pretenses, wears a suit and hat and only pretends to be happy. Which mouse are you? The moral of this story is, the grass is always greener on the other side. Do you envy your rich and gorgeous friend? Do you keep cribbing about your small apartment? You do not know what others are missing in their life unless you look deep within. Everything is not as it seems. Learn to be happy in your present situation. Somebody might be envying your life without you knowing it. Count your blessings.

July 04, 2012

Card of the Day - July 4, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Healing with the Fairies oracle is ''Honoring your True feelings''. What are you really feeling? Are you happy in your current situation or do you need a change? Honoring your feelings means listening to your inner voice. Is your intuition telling you to go ahead even if logically it seems silly? Do you feel like taking a break even though you need to be working hard at this point? Listen to your feelings as they know more than your logical mind does. The more you honor them, the more they will help you make important decisions. If you ignore your feelings, they will start fading away, leaving you with only your brain to make practical decisions.

Card of the Day - June 3, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Fairy Tale Tarot is the King of Wands depicted by the fairytale of Aladdin. You have the ability to make your wishes come true. Just call upon the Genie from within. Use your mental intuitiveness like Aladdin and you will be able to overcome all your obstacles. Aladdin, like the King of Wands is fiesty, active, a man of smart words and great ideas. He is also a risk taker and an adventurous boy. Learn the qualities of Aladdin by reading the story.

Card of the Day - June 2, 2012

Today's Card of the Day is from the 'Healing with the Fairies' deck and as a part of 'Fairy Month', I will be removing cards from this deck and The Fairy Tale Tarot this entire month. Today's Card says ''Be Honest with Yourself''. Honesty is the best policy and the best person to be honest with is yourself. It is no point portraying a fake exterior, when we are truly not happy from inside. We can fool the world, but can we fool our self? If you are not happy, accept it and do something to fix it. Are you living a lie that makes you feel guilty every time you look into someone's eyes? The fairies say that like them, be honest, free and loving beings. In the card, a fairy with beautiful wings looks at her dragonfly companion. She has realized her true self and is being completely honest. Are you?

Fairies

We all have heard of fairies. They have been associated with a number of things, and people think differently about them, based on what they hear. I first started believing in fairies a long time ago, when I was a child. I read a number of Enid Blyton books, and they always had fairies, pixies, elves, gnomes and garden trolls as protagonists. In these stories, often children would be able to have adventures with these pretty creatures while the boring adults would be fast asleep. What fun! I really started feeling that these fairies exist. I am a believer, so I believe in everything. There is no smoke without fire, and I like to believe that there is some amount of truth in everything that someone or the other believes. Anyways, along with Blyton's books there are many fairy-tales that we listened to and read as a child. Stories included fairy godmothers, witches, magic wands, potions and creatures of Never-never Land. To some extent, there has to be some amount of truth to these stories.

About a few years ago, I was introduced to the world of Doreen Virtue's books. She wrote a number of books about spirituality. I remember the first book I was attracted to was called ''Healing with the Fairies''. It was a story about how she saw fairies in her garden and they helped her find her soul mate, Steven Farmer. It is amazing, that in 'real' life we are hearing about fairies being seen in gardens. She says a number of things about fairies in her books. These fairies are found in gardens, in and around plants, trees, greenery and nature. They are fond of gardeners and those who love the environment. If you call upon them, they can help your garden bloom beautifully. Where ever you see mushrooms (which are their houses!) they are sure to be around there somewhere. So who are fairies? They are nature angels who are always ready to help you. In an interview with Doreen Virtue taken from another website www.healyourlife.com, she answers basic questions and myths about fairies.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q.  Are fairies mischievous pranksters?
A.  Fairies, like all humans and other Earth-dwellers have egos. That means that they don’t automatically love everyone unconditionally as the egoless angels do. Fairies are very loving beings, but they favor people who treat the environment and animals kindly.
Since fairies play tricks on those who mistreat nature or animals, they’ve earned a reputation for mischief. Fairies also love parties, playfulness, dancing, and music. As these behaviors have been frowned upon at various times in our societal and religious history, these beings have also been denigrated.
Q.  Are fairies real, or are they mythical?
A.  Fairies are as real as you and me. They’re as real as angels. Yet, only people who believe, are open-minded, or have a pure heart can sense or see them. Fairies are very shy and sensitive beings who hide from harsh environments or people. So those who are prone to skepticism can’t see or feel the fairies.
Cultures also have an influence on people’s acceptance of the fairies. In the United Kingdom (especially Ireland and Scotland), Australia, Polynesia, and other countries, there’s a widespread belief in fairies and elementals. The countries that treat nature and animals with the most respect also tend to have the highest belief in fairies.
Q.  Where can I find fairies?
A.  Fairies live wherever there are plants or animals. They live near houseplants and pets. However, they’re especially fond of the wilderness. They don’t like pesticides or tightly manicured gardens.
Q.  A psychic told me that she saw fairies around me. What does that mean?
A.  Some people have fairies as spirit guides. Fairies stay with people who have a life purpose involving environmentalism or animals. You can ask the fairies for guidance about how to help the earth. In addition, fairies help us lighten up and be playful.
Q.  Are fairies fallen angels?
A.  God made fairies as the angels of nature. They’re beings of pure, Divine light and love with an important mission of healing and protecting the environment and animals. Like humans, fairies have egos. So they’re not unconditionally loving like the celestial angels. However, fairies are kind and fair.
Q.  Can you trust fairies? Do they ever harm people?
A.  You earn the fairies’ respect by extending kindness toward Mother Nature. Recycling, using Earth-friendly cleaning supplies (available at any health food store), and donating to environmental causes are just a few of the behaviors that fairies look for in their potential human friends. Once you earn the fairies’ respect, they’ll do anything for you.
Fairies don’t harm people, but they can play tricks on those whom they view as cruel toward animals or the environment. Sometimes they play mild practical jokes (like temporarily hiding things) on people they love as a way of being playful.
Q.  Can fairies become human, or vice versa?
A.  Some people who look like fairies, gnomes, leprechauns, mermaids, and pixies are elemental souls who’ve elected to have human lives so that they can help the environment and animals in a big way. I’ve written about this topic in my books Healing with the Fairies,  Earth Angels, and Goddesses & Angels.
Q.  Is it true that fairies or leprechauns can bring you a pot of gold?
A.  Many people report that the elementals help them with finances. While the fairies and leprechauns usually don’t bring literal pots of gold, they do bestow good fortune upon those humans whom they favor. This is one of many reasons to make friends with the fairies.

To celebrate the month of July as Fairy month, I will be removing the Daily Card of the Day from my 'Healing with the Fairies Oracle cards' and 'The Fairy Tale Tarot'. Fairies always encourage you to have fun, and they often play games at night when no one is watching! They love to sing, dance and party! They love the environment and encourage you to play outdoors and spend more time with flowers and their butterfly and dragonfly companions. Read out fairy stories to your children and make them believers!

Card of the Day - June 30, 2012

Today's Card of the Day from the Ascended Masters Oracle Cards is 'Priorities' and the Ascended Master associated with this card is King Solomon. Solomon was a very wise king, so he is there with us today, to help us make wise decisions and settle our lives. Often, we are confused, as we have so many things to do that we feel we don't have enough time. Today ask yourself, ''What are my priorities?'' Is there some activity you do that wastes your time and is unnecessary? Are you playing too much Temple Run when you should be completing a deadline? Are you watching too much television instead of completing a project. You should have fun in your life, but when that interferes with an important priority, then you need to know when to draw the line. Do you have a friend who complains constantly about her problems or gossips about everybody? Is she wasting your time and energy? Use your time wisely, as it is precious. Health should be the most important priority for everybody. If you are not well, do not over work yourself. Cancel your appointments and call in sick at work and give your body the much needed rest it needs.

Card of the Day - June 26, 2012

Today's Card of the Day is from the Ascended Masters Oracle Deck. I asked for a message that we all need to hear right now from the various Gods and Goddesses present in these beautiful gilded 44 cards and I picked Paul the Venetian and the message is 'Artistic Expression'. We all feel the need to express ourselves, if we are unexpressed (like I was since a week!) you tend to feel dull and lifeless. The energy just isn't enough to sustain you. It is important to express yourself everyday, in some form or the other either through song, dance, writing, painting, cooking or gardening. Being artistic is a facet of everybody's nature, and without it being tapped, you always feel that something is missing. So, today take out the time to express yourself in artistic ways. If you have any difficulty doing this, call upon Paul the Venetian and he will help you.
